“Rorschach” is an extreme interactive installation, which causes visual hallucinations in the eyes of the spectator. The painting does not contain any kind of physical image. Instead, it relies on the unique neuronal pathways in each and every person’s head to generate a different image for each and every individual. It is this exclusive mechanism that account for the personal experience and makes the image impossible to be photographed or shared with others. The painting is equally a work of art and a scientific experiment. And just like this it raises more questions than answers, showing an image that does not belong to the physical reality. This makes the installation just another proof that every sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic!
