DA Fest International digital arts festival launches a call for participation in the workshop of the Greek media artist Marinos Koutsomichalis, in which he will present the technology behind his authorial project "Inhibition".
Marinos Koutsomichalis is a media artist, scientist and creative technologist whose work focuses on themes of self-erasure and the post-self.
Inhibition revolves around an ‘intelligent’ headset that is capable of EEG (electroencephalography), algorithmic sound synthesis and machine learning (www.inhibition-eeg.com).
At the opening of the festival, September 19 at 7 pm, Marinos Koutsomichalis will present a solo performance demonstrating how the device works, which will then be exhibited at the festival exhibition.
Within the framework of the workshop, the artist will share the technology he developed, following the principle of open software / hardware and will help participants develop their own electroencephalographic interfaces (EEG).
The workshop will be held from September 20 to 22, from 2 to 5 pm at Studio 60, at the National Academy of Art, on 1 Shipka Str.
The results of the workshop will be presented on September 22 at 6 pm in Studio 7 at NAA.
